Do you wonder how the Czech landscape looks during the winter months? Do you want to escape Prague for one day but be right back for evening concert, dinner, clubbing? Do you want to soak up some fresh air and experience an adventure in the mountains?

In this case our special winter tour is perfect for you! We will take you to the nature of the two beautiful mountain ranges – Jizerské Hory and Krkonoše mountains plus we will visit the glass making factory with a very long tradition based just on the edge of the Krkonoše national park.

In Jizerské hory we will visit a mountain Ještěd. To its top we will either walk or we can take a cable car. Once we will get there you will find a Ještěd tower – a very unique architectonical jewel. The tower was built based on the project of architect Karel Hubaček in between 1966 - 1973 and it replaced an old mountainous stone cabin. Ještěd tower - besides the 100 meters high television tower - comprises also a futuristic hotel and restaurant. The construction took 10 years and it almost stopped in 1968 due to the political and social events in former Czechoslovakia. But, fortunately in 1973 the construction finished and frankly it is truly a gem. Mr. Hubáček was even awarded the Auguste Perret prize for it. And you will be awarded as well: with the views all over the nature nearby. You can even compare the countryside of Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic! We will tell you all about the history of this place and why it is so important for the people from this region.

Afterwards we will take you to the traditional Bohemian glass factory in Krkonoše Mountains. Historically Bohemian glass is famous worldwide and Czech people are very proud of this handcraft. Our time is getting faster and faster - things are made by machines, used and thrown away. But yet there are still some places where people create things by hand, with focus and awareness and most importantly - with love. We will show you how the glass is made, what's the tradition of this amazing craft and of course - you will be able to buy something.

The Lunch will be served at very beautiful and traditional restaurant which is part of the glass factory.

To end the tour back in the nature we will take you to the beautiful waterfall Mumlavský vodopád which is situated right in the Krkonoše national park. The waterfall is one of the largest in the Czech Republic, its height reaches up to the 12 meters. The waterfall is breathtaking all year round and naturally its appearance might differ in every season. In the spring time its flow reaches the peak, during the winter time it gets frozen, so you can see instead of a waterfall an icefall! The so-called giant pots also known as the devil’s eye are also super interesting. These stone formations were created by the influence of a strong stream of the river on the granite blocks and its length can reaches almost 6 meters. You can find them directly under the waterfall but also elsewhere in the riverbed. The surroundings of the waterfall is rich for typical forest fauna and flora and the walk there is very pleasant.

After the tour we will take you back to Prague.
